Deus Salutis Meæ

Another year, another Blut Aus Nord album, or so it seems sometimes (fun factoid 2002 and 2008 are the only years in the past 17 when they’ve not had a release). The Blut Aus Nord pendulum swings rather violently between traditional, experimental, and well very experimental. This one harks back more towards releases such as Odinist or Mort, which suits me just fine, that tends to be my favourite version of them. However perhaps I’ve not given it enough time, but I just don’t feel it fully here, if I want this version of Blut Aus Nord I’d most often just turn on The Work Which Transforms God. That said even when Blut Aus Nord aren’t firing on all cylinders they’re still better than so much else out there.
