I have no recollection of how I found this album, metal-archives has
very little about them other than that Dvala is their debut. Doing
some web searches it seems this album did not get a lot of attention
as it has no English language reviews anywhere (I managed to find a
single Greek webzine who mentioned it). This is too bad because it’s a
solid debut, on the whole it’s fairly standard nordic black metal with
the exception of two tracks which are more ambient and where they’ve
incorporated more of an electronica sound. This is interesting and
actually works out well, if I’d just been told about it without
hearing it I would have been more skeptical. In the end a solid album
and a band I’ll be eager to see what they do in the future.
