As has been customary for the past few releases Anaal Nathrakh comes
out with a somewhat more accessible album followed be one that is less
so. The albums that fall into the latter category tend to be more
interesting, and Vanitas fits there. While it’s not quite as furious
as 2009’s In the Constellation of the Black Widow, it’s got enough
parts that keep you interested. My sole wish was that they had more
songs like Of Fire And Fucking Pigs, when they truly turn the
grindometer to eleven, here’s hoping to more of that in the future.
