Blut Aus Nord return with part two of their latest trilogy of albums
again tackling various Lovecraftian horrors. BaN have almost a
tick-tock pattern to their albums (or group thereof) where they’ll
release one atmospheric album and then one dissonant one (or as is the
case here a trilogy). So after the atmospheric tick of Hallucinogen
we are now in the dissonant tock with the Disharmonium trilogy,
while I generally prefer the former the latter is always interesting
and more importantly often challenging requiring concentrated
attentive listening, this isn’t something which really does well as
something to have in the background. Giving it your full attention is
generally a rewarding if often discombobulating process.
