ThrowbackThursday 2021 ![Discipline](/gfx/1941.jpg) I vividly recall getting this album and being fairly blown away by the balls to the wall explosion of opening track Primal, there is truly something to what they say that you have ten seconds to grab the listeners attention, not that they needed even ten seconds, but I digress. Now I was completely unfamiliar with the band at the time and didn't know that they had released music before it simply under the moniker Cadaver which they then returned to after the controversy this album generated. When the album was released they setup an accompanying website which made itself out to be a professional murder scene cleanup company, it even had a functioning toll free number you could call. This apparently caused them to be investigated by the Norwegian government and the band then changed their name back to just Cadaver. So it must be said that in many ways the change of name is actually good because this album is unlike any of the other Cadaver albums (and the only one I really listen to), it has a sharp, crisp modern sound, the songs are mostly played at a ridiculously fast pace. I could imagine purists being happy to own all Cadaver albums and be able to simply say this one never happened. Just like I'm perfectly happy to only ever listen to Cadaver Inc.
