Given the connection with Antaeus, I'm surprised I've never paid attention to them before. Trying to accurately describe them is hard, there are obvious influences from other French black metal peers, probably most notably Deathspell Omega, but then wrapped in a murky death metal blanket. Tempo wise this release is all over the map, but I am happiest when they put some speed on it like on the excellent second track _Her Feet Upon the Earth, Blooming the Fruits of Blood_, some of the slower songs have a tendency to some monotony. All in all not a bad album to go out on. [Aosoth](https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Aosoth/10098) ---
