To say my expectations were high for the new Mgła album would have
been an understatement. As this position probably makes clear it
didn't quite live up to them. Now it's important to note that this is
by no means a bad album, it's in fact quite a good one. However this
is Mgła we're talking about, who have proven time and time again they
can deliver so it's slightly disappointing when it feels like it falls
a bit short. There are times of brilliance, but between these bursts of
genius there are periods where it just fails to mesmerize like they have
in the past. Perhaps expecting that was an exercise in futility.
